Have you ever done a Via Ferrata?
Via Ferrata was used during the Second World War mainly by the Italians to move easier and faster through the mountains. It is a hybrid between hiking and mountain climbing. Quite exciting and not without risk but highly recommended for the sports enthusiasts among you.
There is a route plotted with steel cables attached to the rocks. You get a special belt (harness) to secures yourself to the wired rope. The trail runs along the mountainside and over bridges and iron stairs to get to places you otherwise could not come. Make sure you have good equipment. In Bourg d'Oisans several shops rent this equipment.
Beginners are best to go with a guide, or someone with experience who can explain everything and could possibly help out. There is a good condition expected from you.
