In the center of the six valleys lies Bourg d'Oisans. This is the largest town in the region and has a large supermarket and several shops.
St. Christophe is also worth a visit. The village lies in the national park and has a museum about the history of the mountain guides. After St. Christophe you drive over a very impressive road to La Bérarde, perhaps the most beautiful part of the French Alps. Take your time here to hike, picnic or bike ride to!
Clavans and located in the Vallée du Haut Ferrand is a small authentic mountain village with beautiful houses. From this village you have a beautiful view over the glacier of Les Deux Alpes.
The barrage of Grand'Maison is a reservoir, built in 1978 (finished in 1985) to generate electricity, and is part of the largest hydroelectric power station in France and has a capacity of 1,800 MW. At the smaller Lac de Verney there's a museum about the history of this impressive achievement.
