The summers can be very hot in Grenoble perfect to enjoy one of the many terraces. But cooling off in the Museum of Grenoble is also a real winner. One of the largest museums in France, with its acclaimed collection of paintings and Greek, Roman and Egyptian objects. The Bastille can be reached via a cable car from the center of Grenoble. Above you get a good view of the city below and the surrounding mountains. The winter in Grenoble can be very cold. But thanks to an indoor shopping mall it remains pleasant shopping.

Lyon is the capital of the Rhone Alpes and the former capital of France. The city has an impressive history and for culture lovers Lyon is very worthwhile. Among food lovers, Lyon is also the right place. The city has many great restaurants and is also called "capital of the gastronomy". Lyon is a 2 hours drive from Vénosc.

Briançon is the highest city in France and is located in the Hautes-Alpes. Briançon lies on the border of France and Italy and is about a one hour drive from Vénosc. The city has several times in the past been taken over by the Italians, but now belongs to France. On each hill you find old lookouts over the town and the ancient citadel. In the summer it is worth visiting the big market.
